BBQ Pulled Pork

Prepare the Pork

In a slow cooker, combine the pork shoulder, BBQ sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and water. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender.

Shred the Pork

Once cooked, shred the pork with two forks and mix it with the juices in the slow cooker.

Mac-n-Cheese

Cook the Pasta

Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Make the Cheese Sauce

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Slowly whisk in the milk and cook until thickened. Stir in the cheese, salt, pepper, and paprika until melted and smooth.

Combine

Mix the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce until well coated.

Crispy Onion Tanglers

Soak the Onions

Soak the sliced onions in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.

Prepare the Coating

In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper.

Fry the Onions

Heat oil in a deep pan. Dredge the soaked onions in the flour mixture and fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

On each brioche bun, layer BBQ pulled pork, mac-n-cheese, and crispy onion tanglers. Serve with crispy tater tots and ranch dressing on the side.
