Beef Brisket
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Brisket
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Rub this spice mixture all over the beef brisket.
- 2
Sear the Brisket
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear the brisket on all sides until browned, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- 3
Slow Cook the Brisket
Transfer the seared brisket to a roasting pan. Pour the beef broth around the brisket. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Cook for 4-5 hours, or until the brisket is tender and can be easily shredded with a fork.
- 4
Rest and Serve
Once cooked, remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for about 20-30 minutes before slicing. Serve with BBQ sauce on the side.
