Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the jumbo Gulf shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Drain and transfer them to an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Once cooled, peel and devein the shrimp.

  2. 2

    Boil the Eggs

In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Gently add the eggs and boil for 10-12 minutes. Remove from heat and place in an ice bath until cool. Once cooled, peel the eggs and slice them into quarters.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

Chop the baby iceberg lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Slice the avocado, cucumbers, and grape tomatoes in half.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Salad

In a large bowl or platter, layer the chopped iceberg lettuce, followed by the shrimp, sliced avocado, cucumber slices, halved grape tomatoes, and quartered eggs.

  5. 5

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the salad generously with 1000 Island dressing. Toss gently to combine just before serving.
