Add the Italian Beef
Once the vegetables are ready, add the Italian beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until heated through.
- 3
Assemble the Rolls
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise without cutting all the way through. Fill each roll with the beef and vegetable mixture, then top with shredded mozzarella cheese and a generous amount of giardiniera.
- 4
Bake the Rolls
Place the filled rolls on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
For the Pecorino Romano Sauce

Make the Sauce
In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, combine heavy cream and minced garlic. Stir occasionally until the cream is warm, about 3-5 minutes.
- 6
Add Cheese and Seasoning
Gradually whisk in the grated Pecorino Romano cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Let the sauce simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
