Preparation
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures that your dish bakes evenly.
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Whisk together until well combined.
Baking
Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Add Additional Ingredients
Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts (if using) into the batter. Make sure they're evenly distributed.
Pour into Baking Pan
Grease a baking pan (9x13 inches) and pour the batter into the pan, spreading it evenly.
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cooling and Serving
Cool Down
Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Slice and Serve
Once completely cooled, slice into squares and serve. Enjoy your delicious treat!
