Dough Preparation
- 1
Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm milk (110°F/43°C) with granulated sugar and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- 2
Mix Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of all-purpose flour and salt. Add the activated yeast mixture, melted unsalted butter, and beaten eggs. Mix until combined.
- 3
Knead Dough
Gradually add the remaining flour, kneading the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 4
Let Dough Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until it has doubled in size.
Filling Preparation
- 5
Prepare Filling
In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Melt the unsalted butter and set aside.
- 6
Roll Out Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle (about 16x24 inches) on a floured surface.
- 7
Add Filling
Brush the rolled-out dough with melted butter and evenly sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture over the top.
- 8
Roll and Cut
Starting from one long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
Baking
- 9
Second Rise
