Method

Cooking the Sirloin

  1. 1

    Prepare the Sirloin

Season the Certified Angus Beef® Sirloin with olive oil, salt, and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Sirloin

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned sirloin and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.

Making the Mashed Potatoes

  1. 3

    Boil the Potatoes

In a pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the cubed potatoes and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 4

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and pepper, and mash until smooth and creamy.

Preparing the Brussels Sprouts

  1. 5

    Roast the Brussels Sprouts

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). In a bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.

  2. 6

    Bake

Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, until golden and tender.

Plating

  1. 7

    Serve

Plate the cooked sirloin alongside a generous serving of mashed potatoes and roasted maple mustard Brussels sprouts.
