Brewing Process

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mash

In a large pot, heat the water to about 150°F (65°C). Add the barley malt and corn, stirring well. Let it sit for 60 minutes to allow the grains to convert their starches into sugars.

  2. 2

    Boil the Wort

After mashing, strain the mixture to separate the liquid (wort) from the solids. Bring the wort to a boil and add the hops. Boil for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. 3

    Cool the Wort

After boiling, cool the wort quickly to about 70°F (21°C) using a wort chiller or ice bath.

  4. 4

    Fermentation

Transfer the cooled wort to a fermentation vessel and add the yeast. Seal the vessel with an airlock and let it ferment for about 1-2 weeks at a stable temperature.

  5. 5

    Bottling

After fermentation is complete, transfer the beer to clean bottles, adding a small amount of sugar to each to carbonate. Seal the bottles and let them condition for another 1-2 weeks.

  6. 6

    Enjoy

Chill the bottles in the refrigerator, serve cold, and enjoy your homemade Bud Light!
