Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, green onions, parsley, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Add the Crab Meat

Gently fold in the jumbo lump crab meat and bread crumbs, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.

  3. 3

    Form the Cakes

Shape the mixture into patties, about 3 inches in diameter. You should have around 8 crab cakes.

  4. 4

    Chill

Place the crab cakes on a baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

Cooking

  1. 5

    Cook the Crab Cakes

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the crab cakes in batches and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

  2. 6

    Drain and Serve

Remove the crab cakes and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve warm with lemon wedges and tartar sauce.
