Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mashed Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into chunks. Boil them in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot. Add butter, heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Asparagus

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the asparagus, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still crisp. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Filet Medallions

Season the filet medallions with salt and black pepper. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and sear the medallions for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer to reach your desired doneness. Remove from the heat and let rest.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Lobster Tail

Preheat the grill or oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the lobster tail down the middle to expose the meat. Brush with melted butter and a squeeze of lemon. Grill or bake for about 8-10 minutes until the meat is opaque and cooked through.

  5. 5

    Plate the Dish

On a serving plate, place a portion of mashed potatoes, arrange asparagus alongside, and top with the filet medallions and lobster tail. Drizzle with any remaining butter and garnish with fresh lemon wedges. Serve immediately.
