Brew a shot of fresh espresso and allow it to cool slightly.

In a cocktail shaker, combine the Averna Amaro, Kahlua, freshly brewed espresso, and simple syrup.

Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
