Waffle Preparation
- 1
Make the Waffle Batter
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Mix well. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- 2
Preheat the Waffle Iron
Preheat your Belgian waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 3
Cook the Waffles
Pour an appropriate amount of waffle batter onto the preheated waffle iron. Close the lid and cook until golden brown and crispy, usually about 5-7 minutes. Repeat until all batter is used.
