Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Chicken

In a bowl, mix buttermilk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Soak the chicken fillets in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.

2

Prepare the Biscuits

In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk gradually until a soft dough forms. Roll out and cut into rounds.

3

Fry the Chicken

Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Dredge the soaked chicken in flour and fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

4

Bake the Biscuits

Place the biscuit rounds on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for about 12-15 minutes or until golden.

5

Prepare the Gravy

In a skillet, melt 2 tbs of butter and stir in 2 tbs of flour. Gradually whisk in 2 cups of milk, bring to a simmer and cook until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.

6

Cook the Eggs and Bacon

In a separate skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. In the same skillet, cook the eggs to your preference (scrambled, fried, etc.).

7

Assemble the Platter

Slice the biscuits in half, place a chicken fillet and a slice of American cheese inside each. Top with gravy and serve with eggs, bacon, and choice of hash browns, breakfast potatoes, or fruit.
