Directions for Ahi Tuna Sliders

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tuna

Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Coat the Ahi tuna steaks with blackening seasoning on all sides. Once the skillet is hot, sear the tuna for about 1-2 minutes on each side for rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey until well combined. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Wasabi Aioli

In another bowl, mix the wasabi paste and mayonnaise until smooth. Adjust wasabi to taste.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Sliders

Slice the slider buns in half. On the bottom half, place a handful of arugula, followed by a few slices of red onion. Cut the seared tuna into strips and place on top. Drizzle with the sesame Asian sauce and add a dollop of wasabi aioli. Top with the other half of the bun.
