Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugars
In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened unsalted butter, 3/4 cup of granulated sugar, and 3/4 cup of packed brown sugar until smooth.

Add Eggs and Vanilla
Beat in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 2 large eggs, one at a time, until well combined.

Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Fold in Chocolate Chips
Stir in 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

Scoop Cookies
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

Remove from oven and let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
