Directions

1. Prepare the Broccoli Rabe

Rinse the broccoli rabe under cold water and trim the tough ends of the stems. If the leaves are large, you can chop them into smaller pieces.

2. Blanch the Broccoli Rabe

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the broccoli rabe and cook for about 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender. Drain and plunge into an ice bath to stop the cooking. Drain again and set aside.

3. Sauté the Garlic

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.

4. Combine and Sauté

Add the blanched broccoli rabe to the skillet. Toss to coat in the garlic oil and season with salt and black pepper. Sauté for an additional 3-5 minutes until heated through.

5. Finish with Lemon Juice

Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice. Toss again and serve warm.
