Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pasta

In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Chicken

Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Prosciutto and Mushrooms

In the same skillet, add the prosciutto and cook until slightly crispy, about 2 minutes. Add the wild mushrooms and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add the Liquids

Pour in the Marsala wine and chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring to a simmer and let reduce for about 5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Combine and Finish

Return the chicken to the skillet and let simmer in the sauce for another 5 minutes. Stir in the butter and chopped parsley. Serve the chicken marsala over the cooked penne pasta.
