Prepare the Tomato Mixture
In a medium bowl, combine the diced fresh tomatoes and chopped basil leaves. Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the bowl. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Season with salt and black pepper. Gently mix to combine and set aside to let the flavors meld.

Toast the Baguette
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the local baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil. Toast in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden and crisp.

Assemble the Bruschetta
Remove the toasted baguette slices from the oven. Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto each slice. Serve warm and enjoy!
