Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form the mixture into two equal patties, about half a pound each.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty to melt.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the burgers are cooking, slice the buns and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer lettuce, tomato (sliced), onion (sliced), pickles, and the cooked burger patty with melted cheese. If desired, add cooked bacon on top.

  6. 6

    Serve

Place the top half of the bun on each assembled burger and serve immediately.
