Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Romaine Lettuce

Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water. Remove any damaged leaves and chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 2

    Make the Croutons

If using store-bought croutons, skip this step. Otherwise, toss bread cubes with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Caesar Dressing

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Salad

In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, garlic croutons, and shaved Parmesan cheese. Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the top and toss gently to coat all the ingredients evenly.

  2. 5

    Serve

Divide the salad among serving plates and garnish with additional Parmesan cheese if desired. Enjoy your fresh Caesar salad!
