Base Fruit Puree

Electric Lemonade Mixture

Method

Base Fruit Puree

  1. 1

Place the chopped peach and chopped mango into a blender. Add 1 tablespoon granulated sugar and 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice.

  2. 2

Blend on high until completely smooth, about 30–45 seconds. If the puree is too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons of cold water to loosen and blend again.

  3. 3

Taste and adjust sweetness with an additional 1/2 teaspoon sugar if needed. Strain the puree through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl to remove any fibrous bits for a silky texture, pressing with a spoon to extract as much as possible. Reserve 60 ml (about 1/4 cup) for the lemonade; store any extra chilled for another use.

Electric Lemonade Mixture

  1. 4

In a cocktail shaker or large jar, combine 120 ml cold still water, 60 ml fresh lemon juice and 30 ml simple syrup. Stir or shake briefly to combine.

  2. 5

Add 60 ml of the strained peach-mango puree to the lemonade mixture and stir vigorously until the puree is fully incorporated and the liquid is uniformly peachy-orange.

  3. 6

If you want a brighter Pikachu yellow, add 1 drop of yellow food coloring and stir until color is even. Taste and adjust balance: add up to 1 tablespoon more simple syrup if too tart, or a splash more lemon juice if too sweet.

Assembly & Electric Accent

  1. 7

    Chill glass and add ice

Fill a 16–20 oz glass with cracked ice or ice cubes (about 1 cup).

  2. 8

Pour the peach-mango lemonade mixture over the ice, filling the glass about 3/4 full (reserve a little room for sparkle).

  3. 9

Carefully pour 60 ml sparkling water on top to add fizz; stir gently once to combine without losing too much carbonation.

  4. 10

For the 'electric' blue accent: slowly drizzle 5 ml blue curaçao syrup down one side of the glass or drop it near the top so it creates a bright blue streak that contrasts with the yellow. The blue will sink and swirl slightly — this gives an electric two-tone look reminiscent of Pikachu energy.

Garnish & Serve

  1. 11

Garnish the rim with a lemon wheel and slide a thin peach slice alongside. Optionally, add a maraschino cherry on a small pick and place it on the rim or float it near the rim to mimic Pikachu's cheek.

  2. 12

Serve immediately with a straw. Provide one complimentary refill: to refill, stir the remaining chilled peach-mango puree into a freshly made simple lemonade (60 ml lemon juice, 120 ml water, 30–45 ml simple syrup to taste), top with sparkling water, and repeat the blue accent drizzle.
