Equipment & Serving

Method

Cold Carbonated & Still Drinks (Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Dr Pepper, Root Beer, Mt Dew, Starry, Crushed Orange, Lemonade, Iced Tea, Celsius, Red Bull)

  1. 1

    Prepare glass

If serving cold, fill a tall glass 2/3 full with fresh ice cubes (about 1 cup). If the customer prefers no ice, skip this step.

  2. 2

    Chill beverage

Ensure the selected canned/bottled beverage is well chilled (38–45°F / 3–7°C). If not, refrigerate or place the can in an ice bath for 5–10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Pour

Open the can or bottle. Tilt the glass at a 45° angle and pour the beverage slowly down the side to preserve carbonation. Fill to about 1/2 inch from the rim.

  4. 4

    Garnish (optional)

If desired, add a lemon or lime wedge on the rim, or a mint sprig into the drink. Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer.

Chocolate Milk

  1. 5

    Chill and prepare

Ensure chocolate milk is chilled. Fill a glass with ice if desired (about 1 cup).

  2. 6

    Pour and top

Pour 12 oz chocolate milk into the glass. Top with 2 tablespoons whipped cream if requested.

  3. 7

Garnish with a light dusting of cocoa or a chocolate shaving if available. Serve with a straw.

Horchata

  1. 8

    Chill

Ensure horchata is well chilled before serving (recommended 38–45°F / 3–7°C).

  2. 9

    Serve

Fill a glass with ice if desired (about 1 cup) and pour 12 oz horchata. Add a pinch of cinnamon on top as garnish if requested.

Milk

  1. 10

Pour 12 oz milk into a chilled glass. Serve plain or with a straw. If the customer requests warm milk, heat to drinkable temperature (about 120°F / 49°C) and serve in a pre-warmed cup.

Hot Tea

  1. 11

    Boil water

Bring fresh water to a boil in a kettle. Allow to cool 30 seconds for delicate teas if needed.

  2. 12

    Brew

Place tea bag or loose-leaf infuser in a cup and pour 1 cup (8 oz) of hot water over it. Steep 2–5 minutes depending on tea type and strength preference.

  3. 13

    Finish

Remove the tea bag or infuser. Offer lemon, honey, milk, or sweetener as requested. Serve hot.

Final Presentation

  1. 14

Confirm the customer's selection, any add-ins or temperature preferences, and deliver the beverage with appropriate garnish and straw. Dispose of any unused garnishes and clean the preparation area.
