Method
Prepare Glass and Rim
- 1
Salt or Tajín rim
Run a lime wedge around the rim of a large margarita or rocks glass. Dip the wet rim into kosher salt or Tajín laid flat on a small plate to coat evenly. Set glass aside in the fridge or freezer to chill briefly while you mix.
Build the Margarita
- 2
Add tequila, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty and the mix is well-chilled.
- 3
Strain the shaken margarita into the prepared chilled glass filled with fresh ice (use a fine strainer if you prefer no small ice shards).
Add the Diva Topper
- 4
Select one topper: Melon Coronita, Strawberry Champagne, or Mango Red Bull. Carefully invert the mini bottle over the margarita and insert it into the drink so the bottle neck is submerged but supported by ice and the glass (the bottle will slowly release as you sip). If the bottle is sealed with a crown cap, leave it sealed and invert; if using a prepared pourable mini, you can crack the seal slightly so carbonation integrates more quickly. Use a clip or cocktail pick if desired to keep it positioned.
Garnish and Serve
- 5
Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim and, depending on topper, add a sliced strawberry or a melon ball on a pick. Sprinkle a light pinch of chili-lime powder or Tajín over the fruit garnish if you like a savory kick.
