Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Cornbread Croutons
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Toss the cubed cornbread with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them out on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden and crispy.
- 2
Prepare the Salad Base
While the croutons are baking, wash and chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Place them in a large salad bowl.
- 3
Make the Dressing
In a small bowl, combine the buttermilk and Caesar dressing. Mix well until fully integrated.
- 4
Assemble the Salad
Once the croutons are ready, let them cool slightly. Add the croutons to the bowl with romaine, pour the dressing over the salad, and toss gently to combine.
- 5
Finish with Cheese
Grate the Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese over the salad and give it a final toss. Serve immediately.
