Method

Prepare the Chips

1

Cut the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into thick chips.

2

Fry the Chips

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 180°C (350°F). Fry the chips in batches until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with salt.

Make the Tartar Sauce

3

Combine Ingredients

In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, chopped pickles, lemon juice, and fresh dill until well combined. Set aside.

Prepare the Coleslaw

4

Mix Coleslaw Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage and grated carrot. In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss to combine.

Cook the Fish

5

Prepare the Batter

In a mixing bowl, combine tempura batter mix with cold sparkling water to form a smooth batter.

6

Fry the Fish

Dip each fish fillet into the batter, allowing excess to drip off. Carefully place in the hot oil and fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Serve

7

Plate the Dish

Serve the crispy fish with chips, coleslaw, and a side of tartar sauce for dipping.
