Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, cream cheese, finely chopped green onions, garlic powder, soy sauce, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Assemble the Rangoon
Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the crab filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper over to form a triangle, and press to seal. You can also bring the corners together to form a 'hat' shape.
- 3
Fry the Rangoon
Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the filled wontons in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 4
Serve
Serve hot with sweet and sour sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
