Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tofu

Drain the tofu and press it between paper towels to remove excess moisture. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes.

  2. 2

    Coat the Tofu

In a bowl, toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Fry the Tofu

Heat vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the coated tofu and fry until golden brown on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  4. 4

    Sauté Aromatics

In the same skillet, add a little more oil if needed and sauté the minced garlic, ginger, and chili paste for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  5. 5

    Add Spring Onions

Add chopped spring onions to the skillet and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.

  6. 6

    Combine Everything

Return the fried tofu to the skillet. Add soy sauce and sesame oil, and toss everything together to coat the tofu well. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.

  7. 7

    Serve

Remove from heat and serve hot, garnished with additional spring onions if desired.
