Sushi Ingredients

Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Sushi Rice

Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook the rice according to the package instructions. Once cooked, let it cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Season the Rice

In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved. Pour this mixture over the warm rice and gently fold it in. Let the rice cool to room temperature.

  3. 3

    Prepare Vegetables

Thinly slice the avocado and cucumber.

  4. 4

    Slice the Fish

Using a sharp knife, slice the salmon and tuna fillets into thin strips.

  5. 5

    Assemble Sushi Rolls

Place a nori sheet on a bamboo sushi rolling mat. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a small border at the top. Add slices of fish, avocado, and cucumber in the center, then roll the sushi tightly from the bottom, using the mat to help.

  6. 6

    Cut the Rolls

Using a sharp knife, cut the sushi roll into 6-8 pieces. Wipe the knife with a damp cloth between cuts to keep it clean.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the sushi with soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi on the side.
