Gyoza Filling

Method

Making Gyoza

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a large bowl, combine ground pork, chopped kimchee, minced garlic, minced ginger, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

  2. 2

    Assemble the Gyoza

Take a gyoza wrapper and place a small spoonful of the filling in the center. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half, and pinch the edges to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.

  3. 3

    Cook the Gyoza

In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Arrange the gyoza in the skillet and cook for about 2 minutes until the bottom is golden brown. Add a splash of water (about 50 ml) to the pan and cover immediately. Allow gyoza to steam for about 5 minutes or until cooked through.

  4. 4

    Serve

Remove gyoza from the skillet and serve hot with a dipping sauce of your choice, such as soy sauce mixed with yuzu juice.
