Prepare Rum and Raisin Ice Cream
Soak the raisins in dark rum for at least 1 hour. In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, milk, and sugar. Heat until warm. In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks, then gradually add the warm mixture. Return to the saucepan and cook until thickened. Stir in vanilla and soaked raisins. Chill and churn in an ice cream maker.
