Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fish

Clean the whole fish thoroughly, removing any scales and entrails. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Fish

Drizzle olive oil over the fish and rub it into the skin. Season the inside and outside of the fish with salt and black pepper. Stuff the cavity of the fish with sliced lemons, minced garlic, and fresh herbs.

  3. 3

    Cooking Method

Preheat your grill or oven to medium heat. If using a grill, place the fish directly on the grill grates or use a fish basket. If using an oven, place the fish on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  4. 4

    Add Wine (Optional)

If desired, pour white wine over the fish for added flavor.

  5. 5

    Cook the Fish

Cook the fish for about 15-20 minutes, depending on the size, turning halfway through if grilling. The fish is done when the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove the fish from the grill or oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with additional fresh herbs and lemon wedges.
