Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Pork
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Cut the pork belly into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper. In a bowl, mix moromi miso, grated ginger, and sesame oil to create a marinade. Toss the pork in the marinade until well coated. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight.
- 2
Roast the Pork
Spread the marinated pork belly pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Roast in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the pork is crispy and golden brown. Flip halfway through the cooking time for even crispiness.
- 3
Prepare the Papaya
While the pork is roasting, peel, seed, and slice the papaya into thin wedges. Set aside.
- 4
Serve
Once the pork is ready, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Arrange the crispy pork on a serving platter with the papaya slices. Drizzle with additional sesame oil, sprinkle sesame seeds, and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
