Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Chop the chestnut mushrooms, cooked chestnuts, red onion, and garlic finely. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the red onion and garlic and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add Mushrooms and Herbs

Add the chopped chestnut mushrooms, sage, thyme, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are tender.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the sautéed mixture with the cooked chestnuts and breadcrumbs. Mix well.

  5. 5

    Add Broth

Gradually add the vegetable broth to the mixture until it reaches your desired consistency. Stir until combined.

  6. 6

    Transfer to Baking Dish

Transfer the stuffing mixture to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.

  7. 7

    Bake

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden and crispy.
