Clean the Mussels
Rinse the mussels under cold water to remove any sand or debris. Discard any mussels that are open or damaged.

Prepare the Shrimp
If not already done, peel and devein the shrimp. Set aside.

Slice the Chorizo
Slice the chorizo sausage into 1/4 inch rounds.

Cook the Chorizo
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced chorizo and cook until browned and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

Add Seafood
To the skillet with chorizo, add the cleaned mussels and shrimp. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir gently to combine.

Cover and Steam
Cover the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the mussels open and the shrimp turn pink. Discard any mussels that do not open.

Bake the Garlic Bread
Place the prepared garlic bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
Serving

Plate the Dish
Once the seafood is cooked, remove from heat and serve immediately with the garlic bread on the side. Garnish with extra parsley if desired.
