Whipped Honey Butter

Jambalaya Preparation

Cook the Meats
In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the sliced Andouille sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.

Sauté Chicken
In the same pot, add the chicken thighs and cook until browned on all sides, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and set aside with the sausage.

Combine Ingredients
Stir in the rice, Cajun seasoning, diced tomatoes (with juice), bay leaves, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil.

Add Meats and Shrimp
Return the cooked sausage and chicken to the pot. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes. Add the shrimp in the last 5 minutes of cooking.

Season and Serve
Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove bay leaves before serving.
Whipped Honey Butter Preparation

Mix Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, honey, and ground cinnamon.

Whip Together
Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, whip the mixture on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Serve
Transfer the whipped honey butter to a serving dish and refrigerate until ready to use. Serve with the jambalaya.
