Prepare the Glass
If desired, rim the glass with salt. To do this, rub a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and then dip it in a plate of salt.

Mix the Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, pineapple juice, lime juice, and triple sec. Add the ice to the shaker.

Shake It Up
Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well mixed and chilled.

Serve
Fill the prepared glass with fresh ice and strain the mixture from the shaker into the glass.

Add Garnishes
Garnish the drink with a lime wedge and a slice of pineapple on the rim of the glass.
