Rafferty’s American Cheeseburger Recipe
A thick juicy black angus chuck patty grilled on hickory wood then topped with American cheese, crispy lettuce, sliced tomato, onion, pickles, mayo and mustard. Served on a fresh brioche bun.

Burger Preparation

Prepare the Patty
In a bowl, mix the Black Angus chuck beef with salt and black pepper. Form into two thick patties.

Grill the Patties
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, adding the American cheese on top of the patties during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Toast the Buns
While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the brioche buns on the grill until golden brown.

Assemble the Burger
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Add lettuce, the grilled patty with melted cheese, sliced tomato, onion, pickles, and a dollop of mustard. Place the top half of the bun over the burger.

Serve
Serve the cheeseburgers immediately with your choice of side.
