Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Rinse and pat dry. Rub olive oil over the ribs.

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this mixture evenly over the ribs.

  3. 3

    Soak the Wood Chips

Soak hickory wood chips in water for at least 30 minutes before smoking.

  4. 4

    Preheat the Smoker

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Add the soaked hickory wood chips to the smoker.

  5. 5

    Smoke the Ribs

Place the ribs in the smoker and smoke for 4-5 hours, or until the meat is tender and pulls away from the bone.

  6. 6

    Baste with BBQ Sauce

During the last 30 minutes of smoking, baste the ribs with your favorite sweet and zesty BBQ sauce.

  7. 7

    Rest and Serve

Remove the ribs from the smoker and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
