Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Cook the Shrimp
In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Sauté the shrimp until they turn pink and are cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- 3
Make the Alfredo Sauce
In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 4
Combine Everything
Add the cooked penne pasta and sautéed shrimp to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss to coat everything evenly in the sauce.
- 5
Prepare the Croissants
While the pasta is being combined, warm the croissants in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-7 minutes until heated through. You can brush them with garlic butter if desired.
- 6
Serve
Plate the Cajun shrimp Alfredo and serve hot with the garlic butter croissants on the side.
