Directions
- 1
Prepare the Shrimp
Peel and devein the shrimp, leaving the tails on. Rinse them under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- 2
Marinate the Shrimp
In a bowl, soak the shrimp in buttermilk for about 30 minutes to enhance flavor and tenderness.
- 3
Make the Seasoned Flour
In a shallow dish, combine corn flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Coat the Shrimp
Remove the shrimp from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each shrimp in the seasoned corn flour, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- 6
Fry the Shrimp
Carefully place the coated shrimp in the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
