Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the crust
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter until well mixed. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove from oven and let cool.
- 2
Make the filling
In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, egg yolks, and lime zest until smooth. Make sure there are no lumps.
- 3
Combine and bake
Pour the filling into the cooled graham cracker crust and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the filling is set but still slightly jiggly in the center. Remove from oven and let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Serve
Top with whipped cream and garnish with lime slices if desired. Cut into slices and enjoy your homemade key lime pie!
