Prepare the Shrimp
Rinse the shrimp under cold water and set aside.

Boil the Water
In a large pot, combine water, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and sliced lemon. Squeeze the juice of half the lemon into the water and drop in the garlic cloves. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.

Cook the Shrimp
Once the water is boiling, add the shrimp to the pot. Boil for about 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.

Drain and Serve
Remove the pot from heat and drain the shrimp in a colander. Serve hot with hot sauce on the side or chill in the refrigerator to serve cold.
