Pulled Pork and Toppings

Method

Preparation and Assembly

1

Prepare the Pulled Pork

Season the pork shoulder with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Place it in a slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender and easily shredded.

2

Make the Cheddar Cheese Fondue Sauce

In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat. Gradually add the cheddar cheese, stirring continuously until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add a little more milk to reach desired consistency.

3

Shred the Pork

Once the pork is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Mix the shredded pork with barbecue sauce to taste.

4

Assemble the Sandwich

Slice the pretzel buns in half. Layer the bottom half with pulled pork, then drizzle cheddar cheese fondue over the top. Add yellow mustard and pickles before closing the bun.
