Prepare the Ingredients
Clean the clams under cold water. Chop the onion, red bell pepper, and garlic. Slice the Portuguese sausage.

Sauté the Vegetables and Sausage
In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions, red bell pepper, and sliced sausage. Sauté until the vegetables are soft and the sausage is browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Add Garlic and Tomatoes
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the crushed tomatoes, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer.

Steam the Clams
Add the cleaned clams to the pot, cover with a lid, and steam for about 5-10 minutes, or until the clams have opened. Discard any clams that do not open.

Garnish and Serve
Stir in the chopped fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy the clams with the red sauce.
