Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top. Cook for another 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patty reaches your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, cut the burger buns in half. Place them cut-side down on the grill or skillet for about 1-2 minutes until they are toasted.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burgers

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese. Add a slice of tomato, onion rings, pickles, ketchup, and mustard to taste. Top with the other half of the bun.

Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips or wedges, depending on your preference.

  2. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a deep pot or fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.

  4. 8

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and drain them on paper towels. Season with salt to taste while they are still hot.
