Burger Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Beef Patties
In a large bowl, season the ground roseda beef with salt and pepper to taste. Divide the beef into four equal portions and shape each portion into a round patty, about 1 inch thick. Use your thumb to make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.
- 2
Cook the Patties
Preheat a grill or frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the beef patties and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.
- 3
Prepare the Vegetables
While the patties are cooking, wash the lettuce leaves and set them aside. Slice the red onion into thin rings. Prepare the dill pickles by slicing them into rounds.
- 4
Toast the Buns
If desired, lightly toast the sesame burger buns on the grill or in a toaster for added texture and flavor.
- 5
Assemble the Burger
Spread a generous amount of burger sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place a cooked beef patty with melted cheddar cheese on top of the sauce. Add a lettuce leaf, a few slices of dill pickle, and a few rings of red onion. Finally, top with the other half of the bun.
