Cooking Pasta

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 liters of water to a rolling boil. Add 1 tsp of salt.

Cook Pasta
Add 8 cups of spaghetti to the boiling water. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

Drain Pasta
Once cooked, drain the spaghetti in a colander and set aside, saving a little pasta water for later use.
Cooking Shrimp

Heat Oil
In a large skillet, heat 3 tbs of olive oil over medium heat.

Cook Shrimp
Add 500 grams of peeled and deveined shrimp to the skillet. Season with 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of black pepper, and 1 tsp of red pepper flakes. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp are pink and opaque.

Add Lemon Juice
Stir in 2 tbs of lemon juice and cook for an additional minute.
Combining and Serving

Combine Pasta and Shrimp
Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the shrimp and toss to combine. If the mixture seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency.

Garnish and Serve
Remove from heat, garnish with 2 tbs of chopped fresh parsley and 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
