Method

Burger Directions

1

Prepare the Bean Mixture

In a large bowl, mash the canned black beans with a fork or potato masher until mostly smooth, leaving some chunks for texture.

2

Combine Ingredients

Add the cooked quinoa, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper to the mashed beans. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.

3

Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.

4

Cook the Patties

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

5

Assemble the Burger

Place each cooked patty on a multi-grain roll. Top with lettuce leaves and tomato slices. Close the roll.

French Fries Directions

6

Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to resemble fries.

7

Season the Fries

In a bowl, toss the potato strips with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

8

Bake the Fries

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the seasoned potato strips on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.
