Toppings

Method

Preparing the Patties

1

Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.

2

Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 3/4-inch thick.

3

Chill the Patties

Place the patties on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before cooking. This helps them hold their shape.

Cooking the Patties

4

Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or frying pan over medium-high heat. If using a pan, you can add a small amount of oil to prevent sticking.

5

Cook the Patties

Once hot, place the patties on the grill or pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until they reach your desired doneness.

6

Add Cheese (optional)

If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.

Assembling the Burgers

7

Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half. You can also toast them lightly on the grill or pan if desired.

8

Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a layer of lettuce, followed by a tomato slice, onion slices, and pickles.

9

Add the Patty

Place the cooked patty on top of the layered vegetables.

10

Finish with Condiments

Add ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise to taste, then top with the other half of the bun.
