Method
Beef Kebab Preparation
- 1
Marinate the Beef
In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cut the beef sirloin into 1-inch cubes and add it to the marinade. Toss to coat the beef evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- 2
Prepare the Skewers
Soak the wooden skewers in water for about 30 minutes to prevent them from burning on the grill. Once soaked, thread the marinated beef cubes onto the skewers, alternating with onion wedges and bell pepper chunks.
Rice Preparation
- 3
Cook the Rice
In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the basmati rice and salt. Stir once, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed. Remove from heat, add the butter, fluff with a fork, and cover to keep warm.

Serve
